Yay! It was our first full week in a long time, and we were very excited to have the children all week. We started off by focusing on each child’s responsibilities, which includes certain basic skills that we are working on strengthening. Each morning the children sign in, spell their first and last name and work on their cutting skills. This week we also introduced the letter “C”. They knew so many words already that started with the letter “C” and were so excited to share that they found the letter in books they were reading. They traced the letter “C” and they are finding words around the room that start with the letter and pointing it out to each other. We revisited the concept of questions and statements with the class. They were able to ask more questions and determine that a question is in fact trying to find information and a statement gives us information. Their questions and statements revolved around asking and telling about an airport. They asked amazing questions as well and told us interesting statements they already knew about airports. We are excited to learn more! We got to visit the library again this week! Thank you to Sherry and Andrea for taking the time to read to the children. They love it so much when you are able to be a part of what we love to do! Our first Farmers Market was a success.
