Dear Parents,
We hope that all of you had an enjoyable break with your children. This new year is off to a great start and the children are rested and ready to learn. We started this week by learning about Dr Martin Luther King Jr. We presented him to the children and talked about his story. We are discussing the events that led him to be famous and remembered every year. We are learning about the differences between people but that despite those, people need to be treated the same. This is what Martin Luther King Jr was fighting for. A fight that he fought with love! The “Other is Me”, which is the theme of the school this year is perfectly demonstrated in the lesson. We wanted to thank Carolyn for coming in the class and doing an art project with the children! As some of you may know we have been flooded this week but thanks to our hard working crew we were able to go back to our class in no time. Our friends in rooms 7,8 and 9 welcomed us in their rooms on Wednesday!!! it was a busy day. Shabbat Shalom, Anne and Vera Reminders: -January 18: MLK day, no school -January 19: Professional development day, no school
