We are almost finished with the holidays! The beginning of the year seems so far away already and the children have adapted so well to their new routine.
As the children walk around the school they are able to see that there are many sukkahs all around. They have had music with Maestro in the sukkah and had an amazing time. The children are also playing and eating in the sukkah, they are spending time making beautiful pictures to decorate. In class we are discussing what the holiday of sukkot means and what a sukkah is. We have discussed how to build a sukkah; what we need and how to proceed. In the beginning we need wood and nails and a hammer. Then we put the pieces together and put the branches and leaves on the roof. Lastly we can bring a table and chairs inside and celebrate! The children are making pictures of the sukkah as well as using blocks and legos to build their own sukkah in class.
