Dear Parents, The first half of the school year is coming to an end. Your children have grown so much since the beginning of the year and we hope you too have noticed their maturation. This week was a more relaxing week and we have been focusing on playing math games and honing in on beginning reading readiness skills. The class is starting to request more challenging games and concepts and you will be seeing these activities unfold when they return from Winter Break.. We had a visit from our fifth grader book buddies who read us a lovely story. We are also working on our Hanukkah journals. The children really enjoyed learning about the triumph of the Maccabees and the miracle of the oil that burned for eight days. We hope you enjoy the time with your family during the winter break and we look forward to seeing you on January 4, 2016. Shabbat Shalom, Anne and Vera Reminders: -December 18 to January 4th: Winter Break -January 18: Martin Luther King Jr. Day, school is closed -January 19: Professional Development Day, school is closed
