Dear Parents,
This week at school the children are learning and defining Martin Luther King Jr.'s big words: Peace, Equality, Together, Care, Love, and Freedom. We are learning what it means to love people for who they are. We understand that every person deserves to be treated equally and included in our lives. We are also doing science in reference to Tu B'Shevat. We have planted beans in a clear bag and the children can observe the seeds as they sprout. As a real scientist would do, we discussed a hypothesis about what might happen to the seeds and how long it would take for them to grow. As we observe the bags every day, we will be able to know if our hypotheses are correct.
