What a week !!!!
Our week started off by baking hamentashen. The children chose there fillings and made their triangles with the dough. It was lots of fun. It was even more fun to eat them!!!! Then we filled our Purim baskets. Each child got to choose what to put in their baskets and got it ready to take home. We then made our graggers and spent some time using materials to create an exciting Purim gragger. It was so nice to see the children come to school in their amazing costumes on Thursday and Friday. First, we got to celebrate Purim with the elementary school and it was so much fun. The children had a great time shaking their graggers every time they heard Haman's name and participating in the Purim parade. We also had a dance party with Leora Orevi who teaches dance to the elementary school. The fun was not over yet! On Friday we celebrated again during Shabbat and the teachers put on a play to tell us the story of Purim. We were also invited to visit the kindergarten classroom and walk through the habitats that they have created. The children were amazed with what they saw and it gave them an inside peak at what they might be doing next year. It has been an extremely happy week here at Wise school.
