We love to see the children walk into the room once we have taken down the main board in the room and set up the next one. They instantly walk to the front of the room to figure out what holiday is next. This is an interesting puzzlement we lay out for the children to ask questions and for them to figure it out on their own. They quickly learned that Passover is coming up right around the corner. (We think the frogs gave it away).
We began telling the story of Passover. They love to listen to it being told at the same time they can become these characters. They each played a different role in the story and really got into character. At quiet time this week, we saw them set up the stage themselves and assign roles to each other so that they could retell the story of Passover. We continue to work on our new Handwriting Without Tears program. They have grasped the language and are starting to draw shapes with the correct lines and are able to form letters they were not able to before. We love having some of the Hebrew Emersion kids come join us a couple times a week to join in on this learning too. We created a sign with the wood pieces from our Handwriting program to make a “Get Well” soon note for our friends who have been out all week sick. They put the letters together using the different lines. It was amazing to see them work together to create this. We hope everyone who has been out all week feels better soon!
