We are as busy as ever in Room 9! Thanksgiving is fastly approaching and we are having amazing conversations about the first Thanksgiving and what we are all thankful for in our own lives. We are focusing on Native American culture and the fascinating ways in which they lived. They are learning about how they got food and helped the Pilgrims to survive. Room 8 came in to learn with us one day! We love getting together with other classes to share our experiences with. Teacher Linda got to share her knowledge and love of Native American culture. Each kid was so amazed and engaged in their learning. We are beginning to make connections between the first Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving today. We are always so impressed with the thoughts and ideas that come our of our group discussions.
We are decorating our room with crafts for the holiday and cannot wait to send them home to decorate your family Thanksgiving tables. Always ask your children questions about what they are learning. They love sharing and are so proud about everything they know and have learned.
