What a beautiful feast we had with all the Pre-K classes. It was really special to get together with the other classes to form our community and be thankful together while listening to a story from Panelope Pilgrim! Our class was shouting out part of the story already to show how much they remembered about the Thanksgiving story. We overheard them saying how they use to make fire by rubbing sticks together over old leaves, how they got to the new land by boat and how the trip made them feel sea sick and how the Native Americans hunted for their food, clothes and houses. It was amazing to see how they remembered everything they learned throughout these past few weeks. To prepare for this the kids showed us how thankful they are by expressing their gratitude for their families and friends. While we said the blessing before snack one day, one of the children yelled out, “Hey! We are saying how thankful we are for the food we eat!” We love hearing the connections they make every day. Happy Thanksgiving, Rachel and Linda Reminders: -Next week we will focus on the letter “C”. Friday is share day.
