What a week! Thank you to all the mothers and grandmothers that were able to come join us for our morning routines, science, and Shabbat. We love having you all visit and take part in our daily routines. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. Happy Mother’s Day! We were lucky enough to go to the Science Lab this week. The children walked right in, sat on the big kid stools ready to listen to the science teacher. We heard about different ways of using force. We continued our unit of push and pull and how simple machines work. Each child got to test a simple machine. They rotated to use pulleys, levers, ramps and even a catapult. We overheard such things as, “That lever looks like a see-saw!” “Look at all those wheels!” “This is so fun!” “We use push and pull all the time.” “We can use blocks in our classroom to make these machines.” The next day we set up some objects around our room for the children to explore on their own to make simple machines. It is always fascinating to see where they take projects like this. They definitely come up with ideas that we would never think of. They are so creative and work so well together to make this happen. Shabbat Shalom, Rachel and Linda Reminders: - Next week we will focus on the letter “Y and Z”. Friday is share day.
