What a fun filled last week of October! We have been busy working, playing, learning and exploring! We were so lucky to visit the Science Lab for the first time this week! We got a tour of the lab. We saw turtles, Madagascar hissing roaches, guinea pigs and a bearded dragon! The children were so amazed and fascinated by the amazing room and the variety of different creatures. They were excited to finally meet Mrs. Kim the science teacher who was so welcoming and excited to meet us. We looked at different seeds that are planted in our Wise School plaza. Then we got to go out to the plaza and plant our own Black Eyed Peas! Have your children take you to the plaza and show you where we got to plant. We are going to check the process every week and see how they grow! We continued with the USC curriculum by talking about sequencing. We lined up in order of our birthdays and talked about the months of the year. We talked about how there is order to everything, and they were able to give us examples of their morning routines. They sang the days of the week song to show that there is order to the days of the week. We continued talking about questions and statements. They are really understanding the concept between telling information and asking for information. Continue to have these conversations at home too. We got to put our helmets on and head out to our first trike express! It was so fun to see the children riding around and playing on that yard together. We are so lucky to get that experience.
