How is it almost the end of the year already? We have experienced so many new things this year in Room 9 and can’t wait to come back from break and continue learning, and working together to grow as individuals and a class. Thank you all for coming to our Hanukkah party. The children were so proud to show off their knowledge of Hanukkah. They have decorated our room with the symbols of Hanukkah they learned about.
We were able to do our journal pages together as a class. They looked at the Hanukkah symbols around the room and closed their eyes to remember the stories we all told about the holiday. They drew bright candles, hannukiot, dreidels, oil lamps and were able to tell us about the battle with the Macabees and the odds they were able to overcome. They were able to express that the temple was destroyed and how upset they felt about that. We hope you all enjoy your time with family and the holiday season. We look forward to seeing you all next year in 2017! Shabbat Shalom, Rachel and Linda Reminders: -When we return from break we will focus on the letter “F”. Friday is share day.
