Making a connection between Martin Luther King Jr and Tu B' Shevat Showing kindness and being respectful. The basic consideration of others’ feelings, being polite, respecting differences, respecting personal space is some of what we have been discussing in the classroom. This week we have added respecting the earth/nature (Gods World.) During our conversation about nature (Tu B' Shevat), we decided to go on a nature walk around campus. The children were very excited to find leaves, sticks and other nature-related items. We gather all that we could and took the items back to the classroom. We talked about what we collected, what we saw, and what we could do to take care of the trees and plants that we have on the yards and in the classroom. For the next two weeks, we will focus on Tu B’ Shevat. We will explore nature by planting, through science, music, and art. We will read books and learn through play and on Tu B’ Shevat, we will celebrate with all of Explorers as a community. Reminders:
Shabbat Shalom!
