Dear Parents, As we get closer to the end of the school year, you would think things would slow down for us, but not for Room 14. This past Monday, we spent time with Room 7 and had a wonderful snack picnic outside on the grassy area. Each classroom discussed what they have been learning in their classrooms this past year. Room 7 children talked mostly about the solar system and our children talked about how they have been working together to complete three 200-piece puzzles. After our discussions and snack the children played together on the yard. On Tuesday, we enjoyed a trip to “London” with our lovely yoga teacher, Cheryl. We pretended to be airplanes and flew to visit Princess Kate. On Wednesday, we had music with Andrew and had fun with the parachute and danced with scarves to the beat of the music. On Thursday, we celebrated Lag B’Omer with all the Explorer children. Rabbi Sari started off the celebration with a story. After story time with the Rabbi, the children and teachers danced to Israeli music. Do to the uncertain weather, we had the celebration and picnic on the Explorers yard in the back on the grass. On Friday, Chloe was the Shabbat Girl. Chloe was our last Shabbat child for the school year. As the school year wraps up, so does everything else. We have one more music class, two more yoga classes and we finished up our library visits. Over the next few days of school, we will have special themed days in the classroom. On the last day of school, we will have Ice Cream! We will inform you by email our classroom plans before the events take place.
Please remember that on Saturday, June 1st is the last Tot Shabbat of the school year. It would be very special if you could all make it and celebrate Shabbat with us. Other Reminders: Last Day of Enrichment, Extended Day, Early Morning, Hot Lunch and School will be on Wednesday, June 5th. Thank you and Shabbat Salmon
