Dear Parents, You can see in the pictures that this week was all about Hanukkah. For the last few weeks we have immersed ourselves in Hanukkah. There was a lot of enjoyment and learning going on when the children created their Hanukkiot and dreidels. The children combined their knowledge of learning about patterns with art, to develop their Hanukkiot. This week we continued discussing the Hanukkah story, we practiced our Hanukkah songs and learned new ones during music time with teacher Marcos. We incorporated fine motor development activities into our play by stringing blue, silver and gold beads. Some of the children made bracelets and others made necklaces. We also played Hanukkah Bingo with the children. The children were now able to identify most of the Hanukkah symbols, it made playing the game easier and fun for the children. Hanukkah was present in most of our specialist classes that we had this week, yoga and music. Both teachers incorporated Hanukkah into their routines. In Yoga the children danced with candles and did Hanukkah yoga poses, in music we learned and sang Hanukkah songs both in English and in Hebrew. We would like to thank Ellie's dad for reading to the children in the library. The children listened to 3 stories during our library time! Also, we want to thank all of you for your support and generosity for making our Hanukkah party so wonderful. Happy Hanukkah! 🕎
