Dear Room 14 Families,
We have had a fun filled week back at school! We began our week learning about the letter “I”. We learned what the letter “I” looks like and some words that begin with the letter “I”. We learned that the words; Ice, Ice cream, Iguana, Ice pop, Igloo, and inch worm all start with the letter “I”. We would like to encourage you to look around at home and in the environment (grocery store, walking around town, post office, doctor’s office, etc.) with your child for things that start with the letter of the week. You can point out anything that starts with the letter “I”! As always, we are practicing writing our names and tracing the letters of the alphabet. We used sidewalk chalk out on the yard to write the letters of our names. We practiced numbers 1-10. You can remind your children to “count slowly”. You can count different items with them (napkins or utensils while setting the table for dinner or bathtub toys during bath time). The children created ice cream cones out of paper, glue, salt, and water colors. You will see them soon! We started learning yoga poses this week. We learned “downward dog”, “upward dog”, “butterfly” and “making a cake”. Ask your child to show you these four poses. We went to the library on Wednesday. Adam and Debra read us a wonderful story called “Where is my T.R.U.C.K?” We had music with Brock on Thursday which the children always enjoy. We had a great time with Truman and his family for Shabbat. We are glad to be back in school, we really missed your children over spring break! Have a great weekend and Shabbat Shalom! Lots of love, Sarah & Tiffany Thank You: Elana and Bella for a yummy healthy snack! Adam and Debra for coming to the library with us. Truman and Family for a beautiful Shabbat Reminders: We need a snack family for next week! Sky & Family Shabbat April 24th
