We brought the week in with a celebration for Lag B’Omer. Lag B’Omer is a Jewish holiday celebrated on the 33rd day of the Counting of the Omer, which occurs on the 18th day of the Hebrew month of Iyar. People celebrate by having bonfires, outdoor parties and weddings. Room 14 celebrated with a picnic lunch outside with all our friends. The children love picnics and it gives them the opportunity to enjoy nature while experiencing lunch outside.
We had our last library of the year, during which we read Yertle the Turtle as well as How does a dinosaur get well ( a class favorite ) We did a fun art project this week with the children. The children taped on a white piece of paper. After they taped, we marble painted all over, and once the paper was dry, we removed the tape to reveal the master piece. Each paper was special, with assorted colors and designs. We ended the week with a beautiful Shabbat. We hope you have a wonderful weekend. Reminders: Friday May 19th- Tot Shabbat
