Dear Parents,
What a beautiful week we have in room 13. Your children had a great time outside playing with water due with our very unexpected warm weather. They were busy playing, mixing colored waters, and tending to our garden which they take such pride with! The also painted the brick walls outdoors using large and small paintbrushes with water. They were amazed to see that when the water disappeared (due to the hot weather), they giggled as they watched it vanish. We all decided to call it “the special vanishing paint.” We had a fire drill on Wednesday and your children did great. After the fire drill we went straight to the library and we had Kathy Javaheri read books to our friends. On Thursday we read the book, The Gift of Nothing. It's amazing to hear your children answer the question, “What can you give your friends or somebody else that you don't have to pay any money for?” We had a very powerful conversation about how when we talk to each other in a nice tone of voice, giving each other a hug and listening to friends while they talk is a gift in itself. It’s amazing to see how your children related to this simple book with such a powerful message. We are very excited to be starting our Purim unit on Tuesday. We hope you all enjoy your long weekend. Shabbat Shalom! Bam and Lashelle
