Dear Room 13 Families, Wow, what a wonderful week as we spent time beginning to wrap up our year and our studies together as a community. Since our week began on Tuesday (and not Monday), instead of beginning with Havdalah, we began with Yoga and then with a wonderful circle time together as a class. We began discussing how our time as a Room 13 class community was coming to a close, however we still have a number of days to enjoy together and that it does not mean that the friendships we have made over our year together will come to an end. To begin to wrap up our conversation on Superheroes, we continued to think about how and when we each feel like a Superhero. Throughout our week, the children were asked this thought provoking question and together we discussed their thoughts. The children also continued working on their individual symbols, many of them moving from their rough drafts to their final draft (greatly enjoying looking from draft to draft, feeling so proud of their final piece.) Throughout our week, the children worked, with love and intention, creating and decorating a number of special things for the end of the year. They greatly enjoyed decorating a box for their surprise game that will be going home next week. They painted a beautiful portfolio folder that will also be going home next week, full of your child’s art work that is currently hanging up in our classroom. We had a wonderful time at Yoga, taking one final journey with Princess Kate, our Adventure Guide, to England. We learned and revisited a number of poses for Princess Kate’s favorite sights around England. On Thursday, during our final “Storah time” for this year, we heard a great story from Rabbi Sari about new adventures and the journeys we go on. We then headed to our final Music class with Andrew. The children had a great time flying the colorful scarves and dancing to the music. We ended our week with our final and very beautiful Shabbat celebration. We greatly enjoyed celebrating together as a class and then with our whole school community. Wishing you all a wonderful Shabbat full of light and joy! Shabbat Shalom, Hannah and Chen Reminders: *Please remember to sign your child in and out, with a legible signature, EVERY day.
