Dear Parents,
We had very fun week in Room 12 as we continued learning about Passover and relating our activities around the room to the story. We had kinetic sand with small pyramid molds and desert animals to be moving through the sand. Further on in the week, we incorporated the same variety of tongs and grabbers that we used in a previous fine motor strengthening activity. The children loved the sensory aspect of the activity and even created whole scenes resembling parts of the Passover story. We has pyramid shaped building on the carpets using various sized We also read many books about Passover, sang the songs with Andrew, and told the story through acting out the story around our classroom. The children have been working hard on their Seder plates and cannot wait to bring them home to show you all. We worked at group time on completing sequencing puzzles as a group. We then moved the activity to a tabletop where the children were able to complete the activity independently. The children also worked in smaller groups to complete 48 piece floor puzzles. This strengthened their problem solving skills, promoted social interactions between the children, and reassured them that they are very capable of completing what at first seemed difficult and intimidating but now seems doable with the help of friends. Thank you to Sasha and his family for being Shabbat family this week. Reminders: Our Passover Seder is next Thursday March 22nd at 10:30 am. Please bring the pre-prepared item(s) you have signed up for on the day of the Seder as we do not have the ability to cook the food or much space to store them. Shabbat boys next week are Blake and Noah. Our last day before our two week spring break will be next Friday March 23rd. Shabbat Shalom, Room 14 teachers
