Room 14 has had a wonderful week at school. Monday morning, we set the class up for a day at work. We placed computers, phones and money out for the children to play with and explore. The kids were cashiers, bankers and money holders. They really got into their roles and it was truly amazing to see how much fun they had engaging in dramatic play. We also set a table for the children to practice their fine motor skills, using tape, colored pencils and scissors. We also started getting ready for Passover! We began to get into the spirit by reading, "Sammy Spider's first Passover." The book was a great introduction to our new holiday. We set a table up with Passover puzzles and the children learned what goes on a Seder plate. We also cooked this week, again in preparation for Passover. All of our friends became Chefs and made matzah pizza! The children spread their own sauce, added cheese and enjoyed their very own personal pizza. It was so much fun and it turned out very yummy (everyone asked for more). This week we had music with Brock where we learned all of our Passover songs. We are so excited to share them with all of you at our classroom Seder. We ended the week with a beautiful Shabbat. We hope you have a nice and relaxing weekend.
