Dear Parents,
This week was filled with learning in addition to our Mother’s Day projects. We explored many kinds of magnets in all shapes, colors and sizes as well as common items that the children could recognize such as paper clips. The children played various types of alphabet bingo, working on uppercase letter recognition. We also played Alphabet Mystery Box, where the children pick out an item and place it on the letter that the word starts with, strengthening initial sound recognition. There were also computer keyboards, phones and money on the carpet and the children combined the food in housekeeping with this set up to make a grocery store. It was very clever, and it was so wonderful to watch them develop and entire scenery, plot and roles on their own. Thank you to moms and grandmas who had a chance to come in! The children loved working all week on your Mother’s Day presents and put a lot of effort in. We hope that you all have a special weekend.
