Dear Parents,
For the next few weeks we will be exploring pumpkins! We will be observing the different characteristics of a pumpkin. The children will be learning about the inside and outside of the pumpkin by using their five senses. They will be learning and practicing basic math concepts and building language skills. For the next few weeks we will be cooking a variety of tasty pumpkin delights and also we will be doing pumpkin science experiments. This week: We made pumpkin bread, and roasted pumpkin seeds. We worked on color recognition though games, puzzles, and music and movement activities. We also worked in the garden this week. We planted a few plants, and sweet pepper seeds. We also did a science experiment with the children. We made a pumpkin volcano! Next week we will continue exploring pumpkins, and hopefully if the weather cools down we will be able to go on a nature walk to collect Fall items for the classroom to use for art and exploration.
