What a “cool” week at school!
We continued working and learning about Thanksgiving and fall colors. We read This is the Turkey,by Abby Levine. The children really enjoyed the book because it talked about all the yummy things we get to eat on Thanksgiving and most importantly, being with good family and friends. We also worked on a fall project which included a lot of nature items we found from our nature walk. The children got the chance to pick and choose what they wanted on their collage. Tuesday Raymond’s mommy came with us to the library and read us two books! One was about farm animals and the other one was about pirates! The children love library time and especially when a mommy comes with us! Wednesday we planted our apple seeds in the outside garden! The kids were impressed to find out that an apple tree will grow from those tiny seeds. Wednesday we also had Brock come and do music with us. He brought fun new instruments and taught us a new song about a lady bug! We also had Massimo’s older sister come in and read the class Knuffle Bunny! She stayed for a little bit and got to play with our freshly made gak! The children were so excited to have her in the class. Thursday we had a special treat! All the explorers met in the amphitheater and Rabbi Josh came and read us a story about Thanksgiving. He also taught us a song in Hebrew and went around asking us what we were thankful for! Most of the kids said they were thankful for mommies and daddies and policemen! We ended the week with a beautiful Shabbat. We hope you all have a wonderful and relaxing weekend.
