Dear Room 14 Parents,
Hanukkah time is here! We have been playing dreidel, drawing dreidels, making hanukkiot, singing songs and hearing the story of Hanukkah (including Mattathias, Judah Maccabee and Antiochus). We made Hanukkah shaped Rice Krispy treats and homemade potato latkes! Thursday, we had a Hanukkah party with our parents, which was very special. We sang our Hanukkah songs for them, said the blessings over the candles and ate yummy Hanukkah food all together. We asked our room 14 friends “What is your favorite thing about Hanukkah”? Adam- “Presents with crane stuff.” Sky- “Spider man head phones, Batman watch and a clock that goes ‘boop, boop’ when its morning time.” Shahar- “Presents and lighting the candles with my family.” Truman- “Presents and coconuts and milk.” Dylan- “Toys and the box.” Liam- “My walkie talkie and police badge.” Bella- “Dreidels and Hanukkah candles.” Grant- “Presents and boxes.” Ben- “Red glasses, boxes and being the Shabbat Boy.” Leena- “Dreidels!” Logan- “Presents. My fire engine truck and ambulance and fox.” Kaitlyn- “My Minnie Mouse sparkle house and my phone and my Hello Kitty basketball from my dad.” Jason- “Gelt, presents and my fireman truck. Lighting candles when the fire goes in the candle.” Special Thanks to: Elana and Bella for a very lovely healthy snack all week! Arlen and Sky for the beautiful pictures of Hudsen! Ben and his family for being our Shabbat Family. Reminders: Week of January 5 (when school resumes), Ben and his family will be bringing in our healthy snack. We will have Shabbat on January 9th at 10:00am with Truman and family. We will miss your children so much! ~ ENJOY WINTER BREAK~
