This week we explored light through art, the light table and glow in the dark objects. The children walked into the room with light coming only from flashlights, glow sticks, and light tables. We drew using highlighters and neon-colored pencils. We used the light table to trace our hand prints and stack on its surface with neon-colored cups. The children used flashlights to find their shadows, and we beaded with glow in the dark beads. This was a huge introduction to science. Light is very important to us, but we don't always take the time to understand it. Why does it make some things appear to be unusual in color or different from others? We learned unfamiliar words like energy and reflection. It was amazing to watch the children explore through all the things we offered. “Best day ever”- Olive We ended the week with a beautiful Shabbat. We hope you have a wonderful weekend.
