Dear parents.
This week we introduced the letter “B”. Your children are learning many words that start with the letter “B”, and learning to recognize the sound. Some of them got excited and are asking if we are going to work on all the letters of the alphabet. One of them jumped in and answered– of course that's why we started with the letter A and now we are on B. As your children work with the letters they are learning to recognize the upper case and the lower case of each letter. This is another way for your children to learn and recognize the letters in their names. This week we also talked about the upcoming holiday of Dr. Martin Luther King Junior’s birthday.. We began by discussing how he used his words and not his hands to tell everyone how important it is to treat everybody as equals. Your children are learning what the word equality means. We have discussed equality and what it means - being the same or fair. We also read the book “I’m so Mad”. Your children couldn’t stop laughing because they couldn’t think of a time when they were so mad. It was hysterical to watch them laugh. We also went to tricycle express. It was so much fun to watch them ride the tricycles and play handball. We have noticed that the weather has been inconsistent and we are asking you to revisit your child’s extra clothes box and refill it with any items that are needed. Have a great weekend and Shabbat Shalom! Bam and Lashelle
